Before writing the song, Lowry had many questions about what Mary was thinking and his thoughts are explained right before he sings the song on his album Mark Lowry on Broadway. His most recent album containing the song is his Christmas album titled Mary, Did You Know released in 2004.

A duet version recorded by Wynonna and Kenny Rogers peaked at #55 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts in 1997.

Most Filipino are usually use pata or pork leg as Crispy pata nilaga or  paksiw na pata.  If you are looking for alternative way other than those we use to cooked.   I followed the instruction in the recipe using hoisin sauce on some of my recipe, it gives a hint of Chinese to the dish that supposed to taste like one. I know it’s always troublesome to cook authentic Chinese dishes, because it requires ingredients that are not common on the average Filipino kitchen, however using these ready to use Lee Kum Kee sauces or oyster sauce.
